The Shure E5c’s are the ultimate in-ear headphones. They sound awesome and isolate the world around you all at the same time.
Brilliant for the traveler that enjoys time with their silent thoughts rather than the hustle and bustle of the airport. No annoying cell phone users, angry travelers, or screaming children to listen to. The E5c’s are simply the best, except for one fatal flaw. As I wandered through Houston airport one of the sound isolating covers fell off. Now what? It’s unbelievable that a $500 pair of earphones could be rendered useless by a small 50 cent piece of plastic. Yet it happened to me. After pondering my options for a three hour delay, it came to me and I scrambled to the stores in the Houston airport in search of ear plugs. Standard foam would have done, but I had to settle for Earplanes, a sophisticated pressure balancing ear plug that cost $7.50. A couple snips with my nail clippers and I was back in business with a 20 decibel decrease in surrounding noise thanks to Earplanes and music from my iPod to completely drown out the surrounding world. Necessity is the mother of all invention. Quote this article on your site
