In a Blink... PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 21 July 2006

I can't believe my last blog entry was in October 2005! A lot's happened since then…left G4 after five years (mostly with TechTV) and started my own online gadget show (I guess I mentioned that in the news section). After three episodes and a CES Special, I put it on hold having spent a significant portion of my personal savings. The show wasn't perfect, but I'm amazed at the quality we achieved with such a small crew and ridiculously small budget. I learned a lot…especially how important your friends are (you know who you are). InDigital will be back…in fact the next episode and an InDigital Bytes is in edit. After that we're gearing up for a big re-launch with some major changes.

24 Hours in San Francisco PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 10 October 2005

I visited San Francisco last month for a conference and did something I hadn’t done in years. I walked and took public transportation. After living there for so many years, I’d become accustomed to driving everywhere and staying away from certain areas. This time, I decided to see San Francisco the way I used to in 1998, the first year I lived there.

According the dictionary.com, regret is a feeling of disappointment or distress about something that one wishes could be different. Doesn’t everybody have a moment in life they wish could be different? If so, doesn’t that mean everybody has regrets?

Scion = Bad Customer Service PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 07 September 2005

I bought my Scion TC after visiting two other dealerships that didn’t feel it was necessary to ask “can I help you?” I decided to give it one more shot at a Scion dealership in Santa Monica, California. I gave them two minutes to at least speak to me. They did, so I bought a car that day. That was my mistake. When you can only get help at a third of the dealerships when you’re trying to buy a car, what type of service can you expect after the purchase?

Toronto Revisited PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 30 July 2005

Last week, I took a much needed week off and visited Toronto, my hometown. My family is slowly migrating west and this seemed the perfect opportunity to reconnect with my hometown before they’ve all left and trips there would become even more infrequent It’s been almost two years since my last visit to this place I called home for 25 years. I reconnected with high school friends and college cohorts I’d lost touch with over the years. So much is different, yet remains the same.
